it's been a looooong time!
2006-11-05 at 4:19 p.m.

Hey all,

I'm sorry I haven't updated lately, I've been sooo busy. I haven't even checked the email every day lately.

I am the proud new owner of a used piano. My mom and dad gave me there's when they moved. I'm very excited and have started lessons back up again. Someday I'll be a good player (it may be when I'm 80, but...). I've also started tutoring the girl next door after school twice a week. Since I have to be home early those days, I've had to bite the bullet and start going to the gym at 6am. It's not as bad as it sounds really. It's much quieter out that early at the gym and on the way, plus I'm much more awake by the time I get to school. I just really need to work on adjusting my sleeping schedule.

My kitty is still being a pain in the tushy. I've taken her to a behavior specialist now, and am giving her some benadryl and night to calm her down. She sleeps in the spare room now, and has been getting a little more food. It seems to be helping some, but I still have to get up once or twice a night with her. The next step is to give her Valium, and I'd really rather not do that, maybe only as a last resort when we have visitors and she can't sleep in the spare room. I wish I knew what her issue is.

B and I are doing good. We just celebrated our 4th anniversary of our 1st date by going to see a free concert of Veruca Salt. They fairly well rocked, it was quite fun. We've been doing a bit of a remodel on the house lately, new roof, front landscaping, gates, and getting the garage drywalled. The roof and the front yard are done (and are awesome), the gates will be here in a bout a week and a half, and we keep getting stood up by drywall guys. Today the guy actually showed, but then his boss called to yell at him that he'd do the job, so he left, and his boss hasn't showed up. Lovely as all the garage stuff is in the house, and the heavy stuff is in the driveway. Now it's getting late and we need to move the stuff back into the garage again, which should be fun as I hurt my back moving it all out. I just don't get how people stay in business like this.

Work is going well. Yesterday was the district's first drama festival. We had about 10 school partipating. The kids were able to work on dance, improv, and on a tv newscast as the school we were at has a new studio. Man, I want to work at a performing arts magnet!

I hope all is well with everyone. I miss you!
